[edit] Died Alone?
How do you know this? his family could have been in the house all along and he could have just been sitting outside, enjoying the nice weather, how do we know he died all alone?
[edit] Death?
- He retired to Sicily and died there in 1997.
How did you know that? The story of the Godfather Part III had taken place in 1979. Where did you get this information? -- Toytoy 10:21, Jun 11, 2005 (UTC)
- According to: IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099674/trivia):
-
- The year of Michael's death is never mentioned, but an insider of Zoetrope Studios said that it was around 1997.
-
- Although the year Michael Corleone dies is never mentioned, the DVD's "Family Tree" feature confirms Michael died peacefully in 1997.
- I think this "fact" is usable. -- Toytoy 12:17, Jun 11, 2005 (UTC)
Our Carlo Gambino article says that Michael was, at least in part, based on Gambino. Is this worth mentioning here? john k 07:44, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
- Apparently someone did put it in here, but I took it out. Aside from the their both being Mafia Dons who died of natural causes at an old age (as opposed to being killed by enemies), there is really nothing at all similar between Gambino and Michael Corleone. Mwelch 03:01, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
-I don't agree with you. There is several smililiars between Carlo Gambino and Michael Corleone. They were most powerful mafia dons in these same years and they characters was very similiar. They both were very peaceful guys they didn't gets angry often and they didn't spoke loud but very quietly. And they both were VERY ruthless they both kills a lot of people for the power and to keep this power. Carlo Gambino kills anastasia probably joe colombo too and many others to keep his power just like michael. They both were one of the most ruthless and a lot of other dons were very afraid of them. ____
Pardon the intrusion, but I believe a spoiler warning may be useful in this article (and, I suspect, in the other articles of the Corleone Family). Although I was already acquainted with the plot, had I not seen the film prior it would have been a regretful read. --R
- The actual chapter of Michael's passing is named "The Death of Michael Corleone", so anyone can read it and find out that he does indeed die in the film.
-I think Michael was largely based on Bill Bonanno who take care of the family buisness after his father give up his position as don to his son. Just like michael and vito corleone. Michael moves family to nevada and there he operate his buisness just like bonanno family move the buisness to Arizona and there runs their buisness they give up all buisness from New York because the other families want to kill Bill Bonanno and probably his father too. But the Bonanno family start doing great buisness in Arizona just like Corleone family doing buisness in Nevada. ____
[edit] Arrogance???????????????
Where's the proof of this arrogance? Panda
[edit] Worthless trivia- book vs. film
I'm assuming that the book noted that he attended Dartmouth. In the movie, it was Furman. Meh. Secretagentwang 21:05, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
