1. Is there not also a Salteaux dialect of Michif?
2. My only acquaintance with the Michif language and Michif French is from the television show La Voix des Mechif. I've noticed that some of the French speakers on the show have what seem to be English accents -- do you know if this is a regional characteristic? The narrator also commonly uses the constructions "de les" and "à les" where "des" and "aux" would be correct; is this typical? Other people on the show use "des" and "aux". Jfitzg

Google gave me 69,000 hits for Saulteaux and 850 for Salteaux, so I'd think it's Salteaux which is the variant spelling of Saulteaux. John FitzGerald 14:45, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
