Mike Liffrig, (born October 3, 1959), is a lawyer and former Republican candidate for North Dakota U.S. Senate in 2004 against incumbent Dem-NPLer Byron Dorgan.
Liffrig lost the election after running an aggressive campaign, and questioning whether the senator represented North Dakota values on issues such as the Marriage Protection Act. Despite the loss, Liffrig received the highest percentage of votes among any Republican taking on a Democrat incumbent for that year.
Liffrig considered running against Kent Conrad in 2006, and had a site devoted to it at one point, but later re-considered.
