Michael O'Brien, known as Mike O'Brien, (born 19 June 1954, a son of Irish Catholic immigrants) is a Labour Party politician in the United Kingdom and Solicitor General for England and Wales.
He is the Member of Parliament for the West Midlands constituency of North Warwickshire. He has held the seat since being first elected at the 1992 general election, defeating the Conservative incumbent Francis Maude.
He served as a junior minister in the Home Office from 1997 to 2001, then as a Minister of State at the Foreign Office until 9 September 2004, when he became Minister of State for E-commerce, Energy & Competitiveness at the Department for Trade and Industry.
He is married to Alison, and they have two children.
