From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have retired. I have found that Wikipedia is taking up too much of my time and life. I also can't stand how Wikipedia is anymore. I used to find joy in editing and being here, and that joy is now gone. I doubt it will ever be back. So, I highly doubt I will be back, but if I am, it will be on my time. Peace, --Mikedk9109

[edit] My view on Wikipedia
Don't take this to offense, and don't think any less of it for me, because we're all entitled to our own opinion.
My view on Wikipedia is simple and straight to the point. Wikipedia is corrupt. The people of Wikipedia make up the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia, but then they don't follow them? What the heck? People on here who have too much power just go against any consensus made by GOOD editors to fit their own personal needs or because they don't like it. Editors control articles constantly. This is a FREE encyclopedia! People make mistakes in their past on Wikipedia. Just because someone was blocked for something months ago makes them completely ineligible to be a good editor? Yeah, because I'm sure all of our fine administrators have never done anything in their past on Wikipedia, that broke the "Wikipedia law". Some editors may have had a spotty past, but that doesn't make them any less deserving of the oppurtunities here then for the rest of us as long as they have cleaned up their act. Then there are the editors who think they are better just because they have more edits. An editors edit count is just numbers on a computer screen. And because they have a higher edit count, they think they are superior to all other users below them. The editor's quality is base on edit quality not edit count. People ignore the true facts on here just because they want their own personal beliefs to be on here. Well, then WP:OR and WP:NPOV go completely out the window. Again, policy is ignored. So, Wikipedia is totally messed up, and I don't think it will be changing anytime soon. Don't let this statement make you think any less of Wikipedia, because it can be a good place to be. Just because I typed this doesn't mean I hate Wikipedia. I love editing. I find fun in it. So, hopefully some part of this statement got through to all the ego-maniacs out there.
