Just a quick point - (I thought to know was "`wq," in Tigrinya too, btw [?]), but could you use a verb that's more common in Ethiopian semitic languages? The usual example is sbr, but something like ndd ("burn"), srq ("steal"), gdl ("fight or kill") or skr ("become drunk") would work as well.
