[edit] History
The Misfits stable was originally started on the April 17, 2000 episode of WCW Monday Nitro when Eric Bischoff berated a crew of wrestlers including Hugh Morrus, Lash LeRoux, Bam Bam Bigelow, The Wall, Chavo Guerrero, Jr. and Booker T. for not helping out the New Blood dispatch of their enemies.
On the April 26, 2000 episode of WCW Thunder, Leroux, Guerrero, Morrus and Van Hammer made the save for Booker T. in his match against Scott Steiner. Leroux, Hammer and Guerrero made the save for Morrus on the May 1 Nitro to help solidify their alliance. Immediately after the match, Bischoff fired Morrus and the three men who made the save.
Shortly thereafter the group returned to WCW under their new MIA names, perhaps signifying that while their old identities had been fired they were free to return with new names.
Chavo was Lt. Loco, LeRoux was Corporal Cajun, Hugh Morrus was General Hugh G. Rection, and Tuite was Sgt. AWOL.
LeRoux's antics as Corporal Cajun have been seen by many as rip-offs of former WWF tag team the New Age Outlaws.
The group itself crafted a shoot promo which was a parody of Team Canada, which then consisted of Primetime Elix Skipper, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Lance Storm. Lt. Loco portrayed Skipper as the "100 Ounces and Under Ex-Champion" Whine Time. General Rection portrayed Lance Storm, and A-Wall portrayed Duggan as "Jigsaw" Jim Jughead. This was probably inspired by D-Generation X, who twice crafted similar parodies of the Corporation and The Nation.
