[edit] No Maoi in FFIV
Deleted the following: One was found on the moon in FFIV.
The face on the moon in Final Fantasy IV is actually based on the 'Face of Mars' of the Cydonia Mensae, not a Maoi statue. --Grimgerde 19:04, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Konami, not Squaresoft! - and eight Moai in MGS2
I'm pretty sure it's Konami which use Moai as Easter Eggs, meaning that Some of the video games developed by Squaresoft contain moai statues hidden as easter eggs in various places can be deleted - the article goes into much greater detail later on.
Also, I know FFVII inside out and don't remember a Moai-shaped cliff in the Great Glacier. There was a cliff shaped like a face, but it most definately wasn't a Moai. (I could find a screenshot as evidence, if anyone wants it.)
Last discrepency - A recent and high profile example would be Metal Gear Solid 2, which had a Moai statue hidden in a vent in the game. Just one? I counted seven scattered around the game - wedged behind a stack of boxes in Strut E, perched on a railing in Strut D, under a desk in the B2 Computer Room, on a window ledge on the Strut L perimeter, in the air vent mentioned in the article, hidden in rubble in the B1 Filtration Chamber and a large one in the locker to the right of Emma's hiding place in B1 Filtration Chamber 2 (which can only be opened in Extreme mode). Don't forget the Photography mission in Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance in which an eighth Moai has to be photographed to pass the level. (I think it's Level 1 on Raiden.) 87.113.12.239 18:57, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
