Hi - I just reverted your recent edits which blanked a considerable amount of text without so much as an edit summary. Please discuss the issues rather than blanking content. Vsmith 22:47, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- The place to discuss would be the Talk:Global warming controversy talk page. And please sign your posts on talk with four tildes, ~~~~, this produces a sig and time/date stamp as follows in my sig. Vsmith 22:52, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
I disagree that the place to discuss that is in the talk section. A part of the page, which is supposed to explain the scope of the debate, is instead being used for debate itself. This is why edits are allowed, instead of the document being a static page with a discussion tab. And thanks for the info on the "Mrdarklight 22:58, 17 May 2006 (UTC)". I'll try it now! Good. I see you have brought this up on the talk page there so other editors can think about your proposed changes and work with you, perhaps, to improve the article. This approach is preferred on a controversial subject - discuss and reach concensus (hopefully). You should also sign your post there so others will know who they are talking to. [edit] 3RR on Global cooling
Hi Darklight! I don't know if you are aware of it, but you are skirting close to a WP:3RR violation on Global cooling. This rule is there to stop endless revert wars. Have fun editing! --Stephan Schulz 18:33, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- Stephan: Thanks for that info. I'm still new to editing in Wikipedia, and I'm learning a lot thanks to help from other members. I'm not sure where to post responses to things like this, though. Should I put it here, or on your talk page? Thanks again. Mrdarklight 18:36, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

- Whatever you prefer. I ask people who edit my talk page to monitor it and expect my reply there. That keeps the discussion in one place and hence readable. I usually also stay on the other's talk page (like now). Some others prefer to always get messages on their own talk page and to answer on the other person's talk page (it gives both the nice and obvious "you have new messages"). I don't think there is a overall preferred style. --Stephan Schulz 18:53, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please don't add unimportant material
The material you added to googolplex was not important to the topic. It's nonimportance has been discussed quite a number of times already. Including deltion several times of the article on the term you added. Please use the talk page if you feel you have reliable sources that can back including the material. - Taxman Talk 22:31, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and I suppose that Professor John FRINK isn't reliable enough...Mrdarklight 23:51, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
