I've moved the muscle fiber type discussion to its own page, and have removed it from this page. I hope this is OK with folks. I did this for two main reasons - first, muscle fiber types seem to be a relatively off-topic item in a discussion of the entire musclar system, and second, the muscle page also had a description of fiber types. Thus, it seemed better to simply create a page on fiber types to deal with them, and remove the content from the other pages. Enjoy! --Mperkins 03:17, 12 Dec 2003 (UTC)

in none of my schooling on human anatomy, the muscular and skeletal systems were never considered a single system seeing as this is still only a stub, shouldn't they be merged until there is more info on this? Jds10912 01:21, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge to muscle
- Merge - I think this article should be merged to the muscle entry - the title is more obscure and since it doesn't deal exclusively with biomechanics, there's not much point in having a separate entry. The muscle entry is much larger, and it deals with all three types of muscles. Plus, it looks like the muscle entry has almost exactly the same information, but in greater detail. Move the muscular system content that isn't duplicated over, then put in a redirect on this page. WLU 13:38, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
The muscualar system is more specific -- dealing specifically with human -- and the predominating style is that each human biological system has its own seperate page. See: bottom of the page, Urinary System, et al. 71.195.171.5 18:32, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Vote against muscle should not be merged with muscular system any more than heart should be merged with cariac system. There is tons of information that could be included in muscles. Force-length curves, force-velocity curves, histology, myosin bands, etc. Muscular system should deal with more global things like control, lever-arms skeletal-muscular interations, etc.
