Mwene-Ditu

Mwene-Ditu is a city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in central Africa. It is situated in the southern part of the country which was formerly called Zaire, within the province of Kasai-Oriental. The latest available figure for the city's population is 137,459 (from the 1994 census). However, due to the very high rate of population growth in Congo, Mwene-Ditu might have close to 200,000 inhabitants now.
