[edit] Trivia
- The episode is notable for its many continuity errors, including the presence of Sean (Scott Foley), and the absence of Danni (Tara Reid). This was the result of NBC's decision to not show the episode the week after it was pulled last minute, along with the rest of the shows on the night of October 16th, 2003, due to the 2003 ALCS between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox going to a 7th Game on FOX. Subsequently, the episode played at a later air date, which put it out of order chronologically. A few small edits were made to the narration in attempt to make the episode fit. The episode did air in a few places outside the USA in its original format at its originally scheduled time. Another similar occurrence were the Season 5 Episodes My Extra Mile and My Chopped Liver, which had several continuity errors, as they were not played chronologically. The order of the episodes on DVD seems to be based on the original airdate, with the error remaining unchanged, but the version seen in syndication is the original version not aired on NBC.
- In this episode, Dr. Cox asks Mr. Randolph (Barry Bostwick) if he's a WASP, to which Mr. Randolph responds that he's an Episcopalian. This is a reference to Spin City, where the same joke was used with Mayor Randall Winston, Bostwick's character on that show.
