I, User:dpryan, am the author of this picture. It is based off of model created by Cannon et al. 1994 and meant to reproduce their results (approximately).
Note, I did not incorporate T-tubules or potassium accumulation into this model. I might end up doing that...and then I'll update the figure to more accurately reconstruct the original results from Cannon. As is, you get the gist from this figure.
