[edit] Information
Little is known about Need for Speed XI. According to rumours, it will include much of the things missing from Need for Speed: Carbon, such as drag racing. It is also said that it will feature advanced graphics, with special attention given to the graphical capabilities of the PlayStation 3. The game engine will be built from scratch as opposed to refining an older engine, and suitable for today's fast systems. NFS XI will also transition from the arcade-like racing of previous titles in the NFS series to more realistic racing, making a hybrid of the two. Autosculpt from NFS: Carbon will be back and improved.[2][3]
[edit] Title
Soft Club, the Russian publisher, said that the game will be titled Need for Speed: Pro Street and will be released in November 2007.[4][3] However, this information was later removed, and EA has not officially confirmed a title. Any official announcement is expected to be at E3 2007, or later at the Games Convention 2007.
[edit] New "NFS-girl"
The process of selecting the next "NFS-girl" is underway. There are ten contestants and one may vote on one's favorite. As of December 30, 2006, five girls have been eliminated, according to a unofficial statement, although it appears to still be possible to vote on those.[2] Voting is still open for the remaining five.[5]
