[edit] Route description
NY 85A begins in the hamlet of New Salem from NY 85, heading northward from the site of the Punkintown Fair. After a half mile, it makes a sharp turn to the right, now heading eastward toward the village of Voorheesville, where it meets the termini of NY 156 and NY 155, the latter of which is at a roundabout. Now under the name Maple Road, NY 85A turns southward to return to NY 85.
