Thanks mate, you're right Fruit Bats are a great band! I'm afraid the origin of my name is slightly more dull than you thought - I'm British and it's a tradition in the north to call people by their surnames at school either as it is (i.e. Morrissey) or with an 'ie', 'y' or just an 'i' at the end (i.e. Reni from the Stone Roses) Good call on Marquee Moon on your FGS by the way!
