Norway Cup
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Norway Cup is an international youth football tournament held annually in Oslo, Norway since 1974. For years it was the biggest football tournament of its kind in the world. In 2006 there were 1,500 teams from 45 countries with 30,000 participants between the ages of 10 and 19. In recent years Gothia Cup in neighbouring Sweden has competed for the title as the biggest football tournament.
Most games are played at Ekeberg, while the finals are normally played at Ullevaal Stadium. An exception was in 2003, when they instead made one of the fields at Ekeberg the final arena with stands around the field.
