Notre Dame High School is a Catholic secondary school founded in Niles, Illinois in 1955 by the Congregation of Holy Cross.
The first placement test was administered at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. As a result, 500 freshman and 300 sophomore students were admitted into the first classes at Notre Dame High School. In 2005 Notre Dame celebrated its fiftieth anniversary, and at that time more than 11,000 students had attended the school.
