Odette is a movie made in 1950 starring Anna Neagle as Odette Sansom, an Allied French-born heroine of World War II who was sent to France and served with the resistance. Trevor Howard played the part of Peter Churchill, a British agent.
Both Churchill and Odette were later captured by the Nazi's and tortured. She was sent to Ravensbrück concentration camp, survived and was awarded the George Cross (The highest British bravery award possible for women at this time).
Colonel Maurice Buckmaster, who was head of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), played himself in the film
