Talk:Oliver Platt
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I would dispute Oliver Platt as a Canadian actor. He was born there and shares duel citizenship with the United States, but his father (an accomplished U.S. Ambassador) and mother are both American and he lived all over the world before college, which he attended in the United States, and where he currently resides.--TKE
Oliver Platt's father was in official diplomatic status in Canada as a representative of the United States when Oliver was born; as such, the child of an accredited diplomat by the terms of the Vienna Diplomatic Convention does not acquire citizenship of the birth country. Oliver is not, in fact, a Canadian -- unless he chose to acquire Canadian citizenship later in life. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.143.115.182 (talk • contribs) .
I took out "Canadian" and I took out "American"...he is now just an actor. Fair enough?
