My user name, Otto Partz, it is a play on auto parts, which, to me, is an allusion to a junk yard which, in turn, is how I often view my mind. I have no automotive expertize and do not intend to write about or edit automotive issues.
I have some graduate degrees but nothing that should give me automatic credibility on substantive matters. I have good editing skills and extensive experience and anticipate that will be my main contribution to Wikipedia--minor edits. And I have learned over the years that one person's minor edit is another's substative change. A classic example: "John's cars which are stored in the garage are all beyond repair." I decide it reads better with a couple of commas, a minor edit. Now it reads "John's cars, which are stored in the garage, are all beyond repair." Are all of John's cars beyond repair, or just the ones he keeps in the garage. Otto Partz 05:50, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
