[edit] Celebrities
- David Wheeler (actor) - Entirely my work so far. Originally added him because I wrote an article about a character he played in the Farscape TV show. I have added a bunch of other series and movies he's credited with however I have been completely unable to dig up even the slightest hint of BIO info, his nationality, birth date and such is unknown to me. I also fear that I (and the Internet Movie Database) have gotten several David Wheelers mixed up, so I'm not 100% sure the info I do have is all about the same guy. Most notably reading up on Good Will Hunting, I found some references to a David Wheeler working a A.R.T. at Cambridge, however that David Wheeler working there seems to be a completely different guy (although hard to tell with so little background, the picture doesn't look very much like what he looked like on the TV show). Basicaly I this article needs bio info and fact checking. I tried using peer review earlier, but no luck so far. --Sherool 07:26, 20 May 2005 (UTC)
- Peaches Geldof - poorly written: gossipy and tabloid-like in tone. It offers little substantive information on the subject. Arguably an unnecessary entry.'needs radical reworking and improvement or should face deletion. User:Kingsbury 21.40 11/11/2005.
[edit] Broadcast
[edit] Television
- Einstein Kristiansen -- This "bio" of children's TV producer & actor/cartoonist Kristiansen has basically no biographical information at all. His claim to fame is his work in children's television, and even the information on his shows that comprises the majority of the article is sketchy & unsourced. --Parcequilfaut 04:16, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
- Logie Award - Australia's major television awards has an article with very little wikification, a fair amount of POV, no organisation and yet a large number of related pages. Confusing Manifestation 13:37, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- The Tracey Ullman Show's wikipedia article is all about The Simpsons. I understand that The Simpsons' success has far outshadowed that of the Tracey Ullman Show (to the point that most people don't even know that's where it started), but it seems that the show's wiki article could have more information, especially since it allegedly (though unsourced) won 8 Emmy Awards. Sparsefarce 23:09, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hybrid Fibre Coaxial could stand a good strong copyedit (no to mention renaming). I also have a hunch that the terminology in the article is specific to Australia; I know HFC is now the dominant design for cable TV networks in the U.S. among other countries, but I don't know enough about cable TV technology to significantly improve it. (Cross-listed under "Applied arts and sciences" at "Communications".) 18.26.0.18 05:07, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- The American Broadcasting Company needs a ton of work. Right now, it's got a 1,100 word POV essay in the middle of it, detailing a court ruling in the 1960's. I took it out, but it went immediately back in. Huge focus on one event and nothing else on company history, shows, or anything that might matter to someone looking for info on ABC. Awful as it currently is.--Firsfron 04:24, 12 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Good, someone else noticed this; it's been there even before since I started on Wikipedia in 2003, but since I knew absolutely nothing about the history presented, I left it alone. It is interesting that ITT and Norton Simon Inc (both large conglomerates at the time) wanted to buy ABC, but it could certainly be pared down some. I'll see what I can do. -lee 08:19, 16 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- The edit you made is quite excellent, Lee. I hope it sticks. :) --Firsfron 03:26, 19 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Talking Heads (Plays) is a subject that I need some help with. I've started to write summaries for the episodes but the structure isn't quite right, and I'm trying to put some substance on the social impact but naturally it's difficult not to make it a hagiography/POV. Any thoughts? Matthew Platts 04:58, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Saverio Guerra - in need of some serious Wikification by somebody knowledgable about the actor and/or the works he's appeared in. -- Dcfleck 12:38, 2005 Apr 4 (UTC)
- Ninjask - A pokemon substub with broken format. - Mike Rosoft 16:17, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- It's better, albeit not great, now. WP:PCP will get to it in due time. - A Man In Black (Talk | Contribs) 06:02, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
- Krypto the Superdog - Needs to be made more concise and focused, as well as Wikified by someone with more knowledge about animation. It currently reads like a children's fansite. Boxclocke 6 July 2005 21:04 (UTC)
- Television in the United States - Substantial and mostly well written content is unfocused, unsourced, and poorly organized. Exists as part of the Arts of the United States series, yet tries to discuss as much business as art and culture. Probably ought to be two separate articles. Durova 19:48, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
USA Up ALL Night-Needs to have more info on plots, acting careers, trivia, etc.
- Kojak - Article seems to have a sufficient body of content, but is poorly written to the point of being virtually incomprehensible at times. For example, "He was also very encouraged and had always done something of what his bosses thought he wanted to do that he wasn't overdoing a case once it got cracked opened" or "Frank worked his way up to being a hierarchy as being the chief of detectives for the same office that he was working in the Manhattan district, and McNeil was very aware that Kojak was his main boss."
[edit] Cultural movements & studies
- Romanticism - this article, on an important topic, is a mess. No clear definition of 'romanticism' emerges from the article. Also the page become a sort of 'dumping ground' including listings and comments on cultural figures who are often referred to as 'romantics' but don't really have much or anything to do with 'romanticism' as it is generally understood by cultural historians. Someone who really knows the topic should sort it out, please, making clear amongst other issues the difference between 'romanticism' as a movement, and the term 'romantic' as commonly applied.
Smerus 14:39, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
- Golden age of Jewish culture in Spain - Needs expansion and NPOVing
[edit] Fashion
History of corsets is a copy-and-paste merge of several articles, all originally marked for deletion. The information contained in it is - if true - generally impossible to verify, and/or not notable. If kept, it needs a serius rewrite. - Mike Rosoft 18:48, 14 Jan 2005 (UTC) Mullet (haircut) needs an amazing amount of work. 125.236.140.21 03:48, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

- Biberach Independent Film Festival - requires general cleanup, clarification of categories, which are talky. Chick Bowen 03:26, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- Me Without You (film) - A good movie, but I can't help with to much knowledge since it only came on TV here in Germany. Needs attention in my opinion because of the quite unusual topic and the quite familiar actors. --Predator capitalism 04:51, 7 August 2005 (UTC)
- Proximo - Article about character from Gladiator (2000 movie) TomTheHand 17:01, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)
- Ram teri ganga maili - Read it, then you'll know why it needs "attention". <KF> 17:26, Apr 9, 2005 (UTC)
- Never seen a Bollywood film in my life, but I cleaned up the grammar and style a little, and tried to bring it closer to NPOV. Somebody who knows what the heck he is talking about needs to double-check this, though. --Jaysweet 20:33, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- Life-Size (film) - so far looking like a conversation but could look much better with a bit of work, any one interested? Mexaguil 13:58, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Run (film) - has a dubious factoid about a cult called the "do-run-runners" I'm unable to verify Bryan 04:15, 7 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Screenwriting - many missing, empty sections the original author probably intended to fill in later; could use some expansion and a more thorough treatment from someone who knows more about the subject. I did some copyediting to add wiki links and make the style less breezy and conversational, but this article needs much more work. Szyslak 08:06, 28 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- I'm working on this one. Its a field I'm pretty well versed in. Should have it done within the next few days. Boxclocke 6 July 2005 20:57 (UTC)
- Drama film, Mystery film, Romance film, &c. Just sad-looking entries for significant film genre. Compare to the Western movie, Science fiction film, Action movie, and Horror film pages, for example. — RJH 02:29, 6 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Thriller film needs work too. There is a lot of focus on an obscure writer (who isn't as renowned as that external link claims) The JPS 19:34, 14 October 2005 (UTC)
- David Winning - I keep having to remove some cut and pasted text (some from the NYTimes, and some from Winning's website) from this article -- which is probably copyrighted. What's interesting is that the user who keeps adding it is new: User:Groundstar83, and the David Winning's website is run by Groundstar entertainment and a "whois davidwinning.com" returns: Winning, David xxx@xxxx, Groundstar Entertainment Corp. Any advice? - Motor 16:37:19, 2005-08-06 (UTC)
- Ice Cream Man - Someone tried to expand this stub and left it in an unreadable state.
- I fixed the grammar and typos so the entry is at least readible. --Supernumerary 04:10, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- The Prophecy: Forsaken - All that's there is a two-sentence summary that's somewhat hard to understand. Devilot 01:08, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
- Disney Sing Along Songs - Anyone make sure all of the first 12 volumes have articles with complete (not just partial) lists of the songs in them. (If you don't know the complete list, feel free to research the Internet.) Georgia guy 22:53, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

- Superman Lives - Currently a mass of rumours and speculation. Also needs a serious copyedit. --Mr Wind-Up Bird ✈ 15:46, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Anime
See also: anime and manga stubs
- Animania - I've created the page, with info mainly on the first couple of Animanias (because I was involved more back then), needs fleshing out on the more recent cons and perhaps someone has a better idea how things should be set out. While I'm at it, Manifest is in dire need of a real article. Confusing Manifestation 15:52, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- Cultural references in Pokemon - Posted by anon, not sure if it is copyvio. Either way, I'm not anywhere close to a Pokemon expert to verify the article. --Gaurav Arora Talk 06:33, August 10, 2005 (UTC)
- It's not a copyvio, and the author is now User:CoolKatt number 9999. I did my best to clean it up. It barely survived on VFD, and its current AFD is pretty contentious. - A Man In Black (Talk | Contribs) 05:58, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
- Bastard!! - I merged this article with Bastard!, both articles were in need of attention, and it's no better now. I haven't seen all of the OVA or read all of the manga. -- Philip Nilsson 17:00, 3 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Cima Garahau - It took me a while just to find out what this page was talking about. Someone with some experience with Gundam needs to make this page a bit less cryptic. Kelly Martin 07:51, 29 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Done, though I'll let someone else remove the attention warning. AngelHedgie 18:36, 12 September 2005 (UTC)
- Deathscythe - Bad grammar and confusing. Needs work from some anime expert. Bratsche 17:20, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Fixed it up, made it readable, expanded descriptions in places, added all the canon data on abilities and tech specs and a pic. Should be pretty okay now. --KharBevNor 00:17, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Kai Hiwatari - A very badly written article about a Beyblade character. Unwikified. - Mike Rosoft 16:50, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- These Sailor Moon-related articles were recently edited by Dasrik, who has been permanently banned for vandalism. I don't know much about Sailor Moon, so I can't tell if his creation of / changes to these articles have any merit, or are just subtle vandalism. Would someone please check them? See their talk pages for more details. Thanks, Tualha 7 July 2005 02:58 (UTC)

[edit] Holidays
- List of holiday colors - Added the {{expansion}} template on talk page for about a month now, and still has gotten very little attention. Andros 1337 04:11, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Journalism
- Robert Ripley of Ripley's Believe it or Not fame's article is quite spotty and deserves an aggressive tune up. --AStanhope 11:23, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Newspapers
- High Plains Reader - This article may contain information in the "controversial sex column" section that is not appropriate for this entry. The information appears trivial, and it may not contribute to the entry proper. --Malecasta 00:41, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Literature
- Satire - Article as it stands includes an unsourced listing of "types of satire," many statements that confuse the difference between satire and parody, and far too many vanity examples. It would be preferable to break the examples off into a "List of satirical works," and leave the satire article for a broad discussion of what satire is, its forms, and its history. - Cobra libre 00:19, 18 Nov 2004 (UTC)
-
- I've moved a bunch of parody-specifc stuff to the talk page. Looks better now, but still needs work, and the list should probably be split into its own article. -Sean Curtin 04:23, Nov 23, 2004 (UTC)
- Alternative universe (fan fiction), this is a very common subject for Fan fiction, there's lots more to say. -User:James Anatidae, 03:45, 2004-Sep-15 (EST)
- I recommended this for merging into Parallel universe (fiction) - Che Nuevara: Join the Revolution 18:15, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

- I recommended this for merging into Parallel universe (fiction) - Che Nuevara: Join the Revolution 18:15, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- Nonsense verse - A lot can be said about the origins, history, style and contributions to nonsense poetry. Jay 08:14, 4 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Literature of Romania - Altough someone did great work to improve the page, I think there're grammar & language problems, and much more to be added.--Curero 19:08, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)
-
- I did some serious copy-editing. This article is shaping up pretty well but still needs some content adjustment. --Onlyemarie 00:51, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Balticon - Not sure where else to put this one, for a science fiction writers convention. Needs wikification, some copyediting. -- Dcfleck 01:17, 2005 Apr 11 (UTC)
- I did some revision, mostly copyediting and rewriting, and I tagged it where I left off. -- Malecasta(talk) 03:48, 2005 Oct 15 (UTC)
[edit] Books
See also: literature stubs.
- Season of Migration to the North needs serious attention. 2/8/06
- Elves (Middle-earth) could use a lot of expansion, particularly life cycles, beards, laws and customs of the Eldar, etc. Calling History of Middle-earth readers... 203.215.122.227 16:51, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
- List of fiction inspired by Dune This could be a long, substantial article, but it isn't yet, and I'm not knowledgable enough to think of anything good to do with this page. Philwelch 02:33, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- HAVEN — This article is marked for cleanup, but I can find no evidence that this book or author even exists. The Coven#Coven, The section entry also references this same author, but I find no match on google or amazon, other than the wikipedia entries. So it appears bogus. — RJH 19:47, 2 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Sorilea. The article does not give enough information about its subject. I think it's about the Wheel of Time, but I do not know about that book. Kushboy 07:14, August 6, 2005 (UTC)
- Arsène Lupin — It's a shame that Lupin III has a much longer article. 203.215.117.157 11:32, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Comic books
See also: comic stubs.
- Black Fury - This article seems to not specify a specific Black Fury character, but all characters named Black Fury. Perhaps the different, but samely named, characters can each have their own entry, followed by a number for differentiation.
- Ideology of Tintin needs rework and rephrasing. May be renamed either.
[edit] Literary movements
- Literary movements page doesn't exist. — RJH 18:48, 6 Jan 2005 (UTC)

- Showdown (Novel) - marked since October 2005
- Staggerford - again marked since October 2005
- Cycle of Nemesis - SF novel marked since December 2005
- Light a Distant Fire - Historical novel marked since January 2006
- Dying of the Light - a SF novel by George RR Martin marked since November 2005
- Rabbit Redux - the John Updike nove marked since December 2005
[edit] Writers
See also: writer stubs.
- Milton Díaz. Reads like something off the back of a book, rather than an encylcopedia article i.e. is vague and doesn't really establish any notability. I fear it will be deleted unless someone adds some useful information. Gershwinrb 20:23, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- David Mamet - The criticism section contains almost no criticism, and the tiny bit that is mentioned is refuted without examination. Most of what fills out the very lengthy criticism section reads more like fancruft.--Anchoress 05:54, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- W. S. Gilbert. The article needs to be better organized, and footnotes, etc. need to be added. See: WP:G&S clean-up tasks. --Ssilvers 20:20, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Music
- Freestyle_rap -- Unevenly written, needs editing. Rtfisher
- Kid Rock - Bad--Edmundssteven 05:49, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- The Music Man (song) This has the potential to be a very useful article, if only any information on its origins can be supplied. Even the identity of the recording would be a major step. Matthew Platts 02:22, 25 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- List of best selling music artists Sounds like a fantastic idea, but large omissions and in most instances no sources have made the information appear very innacurate. Peter S. 10:41, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Transposing instruments This article needs a lot of work. There are many facts that are wrong.
- Could you tell what is wrong exactly, or with a bit more detail?
- The original comment dates to 7/2005, a lot of work has been done since then, it may be time to remove this request.Twang 02:36, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Could you tell what is wrong exactly, or with a bit more detail?
- Music of the United States Article is well written, heavily sourced, much too long, and incomplete. Organization is incoherent. Says more about Klezmer than Jazz. This has the makings of a featured article that went astray. Part of the Arts of the United States series. Durova 19:44, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
- Italian popular music Article lacks coherence and import. The sections vary considerably in content and focus, with some amounting to little more than lists. Someone with a broad understanding of modern Italian music, including its influences, could really help this one along. Vineviz 15:08, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- Musical Notation What is there is good, but the article is eurocentric. Musical notations from other cultures should be covered. Nannus 18:25, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bands
- Black Label Society - Needs to be locked because practically the whole page was filled with POV. User:URFG -- 15:53 February 16th
- Butterfly Messiah - Needs formatting. It appears as though the bulk of the page was directly copy+pasted from the official site. --Blu Aardvark 23:46, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
- The page appears to have been formatted, though there's very little information. Is it time to remove this page from the list? --Niwikki 09:21, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
- Boys Night Out - This page is awful. Its been tagged for NPOV, clean up, and wikify. The person who wrote the majority of it seems to write like a music critic. --Windsamurai 21:47, 9 September 2005 (UTC)
- Dangerous Toys - Semi Disbanded is a made up section header (Current Projects seems more appropriate). Much of the Section content promotes upcoming commercial product releases - including some for other bands. Needs a shift in focus to actual (i.e., current or previous) Dangerous Toys releases.
- Deadsy - This page has potential. It has alot of easily accessible information, but everything is unsourced. Some things are easy to find, well others are not so much. Lamentingvampire09 07:20, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Poison - This article has an extreme fan pov, and is riddled to the core with ridicules statements, trying to make the band sound like its one of the greatest groups on the planet. Avador 19:31, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Shattersphere - This page is very biased. Just look at the intro, "Imagine the ultimate combination of Rock and Metal, a genre of music that can dominate the Mainstream world and still have enough capacity to steamroll into the Underground. Now take a quintet of driven, talented, and professional musicians and the result is Shattersphere.".
[edit] Musicians
- Scott Walker (singer) - Needs sectioning/paragraphing, NPOV and refrences. (chubbstar) — talk | contrib | 22:04, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Kid Rock - Bad --Edmundssteven 05:41, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- Skip Weshner - Needs expansionCrusading composer 03:54, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- Jann Halexander - Needs expansion, NPOV and referencing. ddlamb 05:36, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- List of compositions by Schubert - Only one of the Schubert symphonies has a page with any information right now. MikeCapone 22:36, 30 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- As of 6/2006, there are pages for four (5-7-8-9) late symphonies. (The early ones are much less frequently heard; someone who owns them could reference their record notes ... short articles are better than nothing for starters, they will get filled in eventually.)Twang 02:31, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Robert Schumann - Same here, only very few of his major works have their own articles as of now. MikeCapone 22:36, 30 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Antonio Salieri - Quite a few issues here; see its talk page for details. In summary, very POV, disputed facts (like Mozart accusing Salieri of attempted murder). --Chan-Ho Suh 02:26, Jan 3, 2005 (UTC)
- Robert Hardy (bassist) — The last two sentences about this artist's webbed feet and his lies seems farfetched. Could somebody check these facts? Thank you. — RJH 22:37, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Guru Surajananda - apparently an eminent Indian musician, appeared on AfD due to difficulties in researching and establishing notability. There is copious material on the web, but it needs someone better able to understand the cultural references to expand this beyond a stub.
- Bigger Than Dallas Americana band with poor article. Capitalistroadster 02:23, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
- Cassiya: basically, we need to expand on this page or it will be duhleetudd. PLZ HELP HERE people! Put in ANY information you can!!
[edit] Opera
- Giovanni Velluti has contradictory death dates in eunuch and his own article. Castrato gives his name as "Giambattista Velluti." Help! -leigh (φθόγγος) 04:28, Dec 29, 2004 (UTC) Update: he's also on sopranista, as "Giovan Battista Velluti." I'm picking up bits of this guy all over. -leigh (φθόγγος) 04:44, Dec 29, 2004 (UTC)
- Alright, his birthdate has been fixed per grove, I removed a broken external link from Sopranist (which he wasn't). Giambattista is just a common contraction of his given names, so I've left that alone. I think that's all. Makemi 00:19, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Singers
- Christina Aguilera's Stripped album article doesn't cover the singles "Fighter", "Cant Hold Us Down" and "The Voice Within" as much as the first two singles on the album.
- Aziza Mustafa Zadeh is poorly written. Lot's of grammatical mistakes and not much information.
- I made a bunch of headway with the writing & grammar, but the article is still pretty thin. Bubamara 09:59, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Geoffrey Oryema includes only a rewording of his amazon.com description (from CD cover) and external links, as I don't have access to any biographical sources - any takers? - Kwill 16:53, Jun 12, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Events
- Woodford Folk Festival - The woodford folk festival is a massive annual event that involves hundreds of thousands of people and has been around for almost 20 years in some form but the entry is absolutely tiny and does nothing more then acknowledge its existance.
[edit] Record Labels
- Independent record label - barely any info; also guy clearly hates Big Evil BMG -Smooth Henry 02:27, Feb 4, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Recreation
- Pioneer Park - On most days, I'd have put this up for deletion, but I'm feeling inclusionist today. Very, very poor stub. -- Dcfleck 03:56, 2005 Apr 15 (UTC)
[edit] Games
See also: Category:Game stubs.
- Griefer -- Apparently suffering from a lack of sources, and an NPOV problem because of it. --Antoshi~! T | C 05:20, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- Chumtoad I added this because of its conspicuous absence, despite the extreme amount of information on Halflife... however, it's a quick and dirty article just to provide some very basic information--it's in dire need of clean-up and expansion Devilot 18:37, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Pokémon Diamond and Pearl - more information is avalible on the topic on various websites. 24.91.176.234 19:33, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- game addiction - Cleaned up to be less POV, but needs more information from groups researching the phenomena of Video Game Addiction. (Cross-listed in Wikipedia:Pages needing attention/Psychology Lamoxlamae 02:15, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Macau (game). I've added what I can remember to the rules, but it needs a much more detailed treatment. Removed the information that was there, as it was completely illegible.
- Pinball. A lost opportunity. Lots of facts but completely disorganized, and sorely lacking in important areas, especially the history, development and social context of the game. I fully plan to work on this myself, but I want pinball enthusiasts who may not be aware of the shabby state this article is in to have a look, too. This is definitely one of those articles that Wikipedia could use to run circles around Britannica with. JRM 14:29, 2005 Jan 25 (UTC)
- Dance Dance Revolution (Disney versions) No detail, poor grammer and capitalization, needs either massive ammounts of work or deletion. --68.38.113.242 08:00, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

- Laava — This page doesn't explain what Laava is. It just provides a quote that is seemingly a non-sequitur. The page Guru Ram Das (which links to Laava) provides some information about it, but it's vague. This article needs attention from someone who knows about Sikhism. Jbinder 19:01, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Tarika — I have been trying to get some input via the talk page. As I said on that page This needs work. Only one very narrow meaning of the word is addressed--and it's not even the commonest one. The page gives the impression that the Muslim Brotherhood and traditional turuq have commonalities in ideology or organization. Which, IMHO, is exactly opposite to reality.—iFaqeer (Talk to me!) 00:38, Dec 17, 2004 (UTC)

- Zoroastrianism - needs a workover, in particular with respect to history: only really describing the religion as it is now, when it had substantial evolution over its long history: it was originally Mazdaen, then it went through a phase (during the late Achaemenid era) where it was fairly polytheistic, and a later phase (during the Sassanid era) had a predominant cult in which Ahura Mazda was not the prime god, but one of the two lesser aspects of the prime god - see Zurvanism. Present-day Zoroastrianism is Mazdaen again. -- Fullstop 08:53, 3 August 2006 (UTC) (comment copied from Wikipedia:WikiProject History)
Cosmogony

Reformatikos 02:01, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC) If this belief is mentioned it should definatly be presented as a belief, not fact, I would question that it is a 'very common' belief as, although Christianity is a major religion it is out-numbered by all other religions and atheism (of all types) combined, therefore most people would not believe in its infallibility or that it was divinely inspired. Eschatology
- Islamic eschatology -- I know that houris and sex aren't the be-all and end-all of this, but I don't know much more than that. The article needs much more about Islamic ideas of personal eschatology (death, judgement, reward, punishment) and general eschatology (ad-Dajjal, the end of the world, etc.) from someone with some knowledge of this topic. --MIRV 22:08, 6 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Holidays
- Kwanzaa needs serious help. It includes much irrelevant information about the holiday's inventor, and it appears to be written by someone with an axe to grind. The person doing it has added all the attacks back after a few reverts and warnings by myself and others. The same person came in here and removed an earlier notice that this page needs help. It probably needs protecting or patrolling. DreamGuy 01:26, Dec 18, 2004 (UTC)

- Apostolic Fathers I think this has a lot of POV issues, and it just doesn't seem very informative to me. - I just finished refactoring Apocrypha, which was something of a mess. I'm not sure it's factually accurate anymore, or really that it was to begin with. I also noticed that there are many related articles which contain a lot of the same information. In particular, there are several comparison charts between different Biblical canons. Someone needs to give each chunk of content a "home" article, and make sure that other articles contain only terse summaries of this contents, with links to the "home" article. Someone more familiar with the subject should check Apocrypha (and probably related articles, especially after any re-factoring) for historical and theological accuracy. The related articles include: Books of the Bible, Biblical canon, Bible, Bible and Tanakh, Septuagint, Old Testament, New Testament, and probably many others. This larger project may be worthy of a Bible-related Wikiproject, if someone wants to start one. I'm surprised one doesn't exist already. -- Beland 06:04, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)

- Gender roles in Islam - I was advissed to bring this here: The article as is stands, with the exception of the first paragraph (Background) to which I helped, is almost entriely original research. The Source given to back up statements in fact state the opposite. For example the source given to back up the statement: "Obviously this is a vision of Heaven that is more likely to appeal to men. Eternally virgin dark-eyed Houris are unlikely to appeal to many women" actually says "The life of women in Jannah will be as pleasant and happy as the life of men. Allah is not partial to any gender. He created both of them and He will take care of both of them according to their needs and desires. Let us all work to achieve the Jannah and then, in sha’ Allah, we will find there what will satisfy all of us fully." - It needs to be severly NPOVed to boot. It ignores the "Science of hadith" and selectively picks Hadees that suits the cause, ignores the isnad and context, and suggests that that is all the source that is needed. - History of Islam -- Major religion with huge chunks of text missing (Entire century has text to be written, already existing text doesn't really seem comprehensive. Ambush Commander 02:02, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)
- Council of Basel - this seems like just a copy-and-paste of 1911 Brtiannica article with some links wikified. It reads more like a story than an encyclopedia entry. Irpen 17:41, Apr 23, 2005 (UTC)
- I've tried to modernise the language and wikify, but still needs attention. Squiddy 12:06, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Second Council of Constantinople - the whole text is hard to read, doesn't seem very encyclopaedic, and is largely incomprehensible. Needs a lot of work, perhaps a complete rewrite. Mishac 00:34, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
- Religious Pluralism There has been some editing in the last few months, but it is still not quite clear what this article is actually about. There is some good content inside, but the structure is still confusing. Several proposals for rewrite have been made on the article's talk page--Robin.rueth 10:09, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

- List of Picasso artworks 1889-1900 is just a big list of artwork names. Can something be done to give this page some value to the reader? (There are other lists under Category:Pablo Picasso as well.) Thank you. — RJH 8 July 2005 18:56 (UTC)
- Jenny Saville was a one sentence stub, and marked for speedy deletion. A quick Google suggests that she's actually quite notable. I've expanded the stub a little, but it really needs someone who knows the visual arts to make sense of the information that's out there.Bedesboy 23:11, 18 November 2005 (UTC)

- 2005 in road cycling - page not been updated since March, needs doing so to remain relevant. Also lacks links to riders and events Robdurbar 20:49, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
- As evidenced here (in Italian, but fairly self-explainatory), there's races missing from the months already in place as well. Still, this article has a lot of potential - I tried to edit it, but as a relative newcomer to Wikipedia, I couldn't quite decipher how to do so due to the table format. Railwayman 22:55, 29 July 2005 (UTC)
- Ridley Jacobs - The page needs to be changed to NPOV but I don't know anything about cricket (sport) or the player this entry is about.
- Tried to rewrite it, at least. It needs some beefing up still, but for now, this will have to do. Sam Vimes 15:26, 16 July 2005 (UTC)

- Ultras: This needs revisiting, particularly the #Hooliganism section, in the light of the recent events at the UEFA Champions League matches in Milan and Turin. See also its talk page. Thryduulf 21:50, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)
