Talk:Pam Currie

Do you have good authority for changing her year of birth? I am suspicious of anonymous editors. PatGallacher 19:38, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Yep it's me - I don't know who created the original stub, but they got my age wrong in the TES article - I'm definitely 30, not 28. Pam.
As the national secretary of a political party with 6 Members of the Scottish Parliament (and 2 councillors) she is surely notable. She is also one of a handful of open lesbians holding any sort of important political office in the UK. PatGallacher 19:00, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- If she is so notable, why is there only four unreferenced sentences in her article? I would not consider her important as she holds no elected office- and her sexuality is not an issue. Astrotrain 19:18, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] how to fix it
I will try to help, but first of all you must immediately get some 3rd party references in. Web is OK, and the various UK socialist newspapers are fine, but preferably not her own groups. You also need some new stories from mainstream sources abut the election of the members, to make clear that the party is significant. Most people in her position have published something, and it should be added even if not 3rd party. But you need those outside sources.
ALSO for later, I am not sure about the scottish parliament, but for the one in westminster all members are considered notable and justify an individual article about each of them, but I would try to get this article established first. DGG 03:00, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- She isn't a MSP- she is just an ordinary member of the party. Astrotrain 09:27, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
