I think the page should be Pran Nath (singer), not Pandit Pran Nath (there is another Pran Nath, a scientist, with a stub). No other Indian classical musicians seems to have a honorific in the title itself, and indeed in a neutral context it is best to use such titles sparingly since they are so arbitrary: it is sure to lead to controversy over who is a pandit/ustad and who's not. What can be done?
This is a fair point but the singer seems to be known ONLY with the honorific in the West, as far as I can tell, i.e. his few recordings all bill him thus and reviews and articles in print and on-line use the three-word version. (Correct me if I'm wrong, though!) I myself typed in 'Pandit Pran Nath' just now when looking for this page, but previously searched for just 'Ravi Shankar', 'Ali Akbar Khan', etc., minus their pandits and ustads, so I think that says something about how The Great Man is generally known. Let's remain pleasantly inconsistent on this one, I'd say! Bhasi23 16:34, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
