What's up with the weird image? Surely something better exists? Turnstep 19:53, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
Answer to Turnstep: The image is aerial footage of damage to an aircraft carrier at Ingalls Shipbuilding after Hurricane Katrina. Unfortunately there isn't much of the city to show right now. P.S. - Sorry if I'm not doing this right, it's my first time on the site.
Thanks, Kelli from Pascagoula, MS
Answer to Kelli: The ship is not an aircraft carrier, it is LPD 17, an amphibious assault ship, and was not damaged in the hurricane. Dave from Pascagoula, MS
- 08-September-2006: I linked/uploaded 2 NOAA Katrina photos: flooded acreage of Chevron plant, and arial view of leveled/gutted houses. The weird ships photo is still there. -Wikid77 17:23, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV
This article has major POV issues, since it's written more like a sympathetic promo piece than an encyclopedia article. It's got a lot of colorful language and subjective adjectives thrown in that don't correspond to facts or citations. Night Gyr 21:06, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- I tried to clean it out a bit. Hope I didn't miss anything important. --Staecker 18:18, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- 08-September-2006: Changed colorful wording "industrial heart" to "Pascagoula is a major industrial city of Mississippi, along the Gulf Coast" to be more neutral. Other cities might have disputed the claim as "industrial heart" of the Gulf Coast: which was the most POV statement in the article. -Wikid77 16:55, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
