Paul Goldberg

Paul Goldberg (born 25 April 1959) is an American jazz/rock drummer.
Goldberg was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He studied music at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree in drums and percussion. He went on to perform in casino shows in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and Lake Tahoe, before moving to Los Angeles, California.
Goldberg now works as an independent studio and touring drummer, including work in Showtime's The Richard Pryor Story, featuring Eddie Griffin, The Last Samurai, Along Came Polly, Rumor Has It, Poseidon (featuring "Fergie" from The Black Eyed Peas on vocals), Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (featuring Eddie Murphy on vocals), Rush Hour II, American Dreams Theme, The Drew Carey Show, Desperate Housewives, and Girlfriends to name a few. He has performed and/or recorded with artists Tom Petty, Gerry Goffin, P.F.Sloan, Howard Kalan, Bill Medley, The Manhattans, Peggi Blu, Ted Perlman, Terry Bradford, Wil Wheaton, Brandon Fields, Gerald Albright, Johnny Rivers, The Edwin Hawkins Singers, Andrew Woolfolk (from Earth Wind & Fire), Bob Cranshaw, Maurice Hines, Blackstone, Terry Reid, Ron Kayfield, Bruce Fowler, Walt Fowler, and Michelle Nicastro, among others, and with comedians Jerry Seinfeld, Jeff Ross, Chevy Chase, Paul Riser, and Rita Rudner.
He is featured in articles in Modern Drummer magazine, entitled "The Drummers of Atlantic City" and "On the Move", and transcribed "The Terry Bozzio Solos" in that magazine's "Treasury issue". He also teaches drumming.
