Peter Gethin (born February 21, 1940) is a former Formula One driver from England. He was born in Ewell, Surrey.
He participated in 30 grands prix, debuting on June 21, 1970. He won the 1971 Italian Grand Prix in the fastest speed in Formula One history (until it was broken by Michael Schumacher at the same race in 2003), but this was his only podium finish. And there was only a gap of 0,01 seconds between him and second placed Ronnie Peterson (world record). Indeed, he only ever led 2 laps of Formula One racing.
