[edit] Plot
[edit] Spring Cleaning
Pee-wee is doing some spring cleaning. He is first seen dusting his bed. Then he takes a bottle of Windex and uses it to spray the area clean. He even sprays it on the camera and creates a smiling face on it before wiping the camera. When he dusts off Chandelier, she giggles. "Okay, Chandelier, lighten up a little," says Pee-wee. "How's this?" she asks, glowing brightly. "Ooh!" Pee-wee says, impressed. This leads to a discussion of who is....
[edit] Ticklish
Pee-wee decides to see who else is ticklish. First, he tickles Magic Screen. It's ticklish. Next, he tickles Globey. He's ticklish. Then he tickles Randy. He is ticklish, too. Then Pee-wee sits down on Chairry who decides to get everyone to tickle Pee-wee. "You're wasting your time, Chairry," Pee-wee says. "I'm not even ticklish a little bit." But when everyone else tickles, he quickly changes his mind and says that he is ticklish. Then, partially to get everyone to stop tickling him, he goes to find out what the secret word is.
Pee-wee unplugs Conky from the wall and flips a switch on him to bring him to life. Conky says he's ready to assist Pee-wee, as usual, and as usual, Pee-wee asks what today's secret word is. A piece of cardstock pops out of Conky's midsection with the secret word displayed on it. This week, it's THING. Pee-wee reminds the viewers of what to do whenever anyone says the secret word for the rest of the day. Then he tries it out on Floory: "Would you like to know what today's secret word is?" "Sure thing," Floory says. Everyone screams. "You got me, Pee-wee," Floory says, laughing. "I guess it's just 'cause I'm such a... wild thing!" Pee-wee says. Everyone screams again.
[edit] Everybody's Working
Pee-wee then decides to call up someone on the Picturephone to get them to come over and play. He heads over to the Picturephone booth and enters it. He sits down and pulls the curtain down as always. This time, the curtain depicts a skyline of New York City, with King Kong climbing the Empire State Building in the background. He dials a number and after a few minutes, Cowboy Curtis comes on the line. "Howdy, Pee-wee," Curtis says. "Howdy, Cowboy Curtis!" Pee-wee says ecstatically. "C'mon over, let's mess around!" But Curtis says that unfortunately, he can't because he has a lot of ropin', wranglin' and lassoin' he has to do. "But we can have a lotta fun!" Pee-wee says sadly. "Don't you wanna have fun?" Curtis says he's sorry, but he has to work today and hopes Pee-wee understands. Pee-wee says yeah reluctantly. "Adios, muchacho!" Curtis says. "Adios, mu-blah-blah," Pee-wee says dejectedly. The line is turned off.
Pee-wee then brightens up and decides to see if Miss Yvonne is available. So he dials her up. After a long time of the phone ringing, Yvonne comes on the line. "Hi, Miss Yvonne!" Pee-wee yells. She says hi back and, just as he had done with Curtis, he invites her to come and have fun with him. "I'd love to, Pee-wee," Yvonne says, "but I have to work." "Work?" Pee-wee asks. "Since when did you have a job?" Miss Yvonne explains that beauty is her business. She asks him if he thinks it's easy being the most beautiful woman in Puppetland. "Gee, I wouldn't know," Pee-wee says. Yvonne explains that sometimes being beautiful takes a lot of work. Pee-wee tells her it's no big thing. Everyone screams. "Sorry, Pee-wee," Yvonne says. They say good-bye to each other, Pee-wee sulking. Depressed, Pee-wee emerges from the phone booth when...
"Moo-hoo! Pee-wee!" the Cowntess calls. Pee-wee brightens up again and rushes over to the Cowntess. "Boy, am I glad you're here!" he shouts. "You wanna play something?" She says she'd love... but can't because she has lots of work to do. "My condo looks like an animal lives there," she explains to him. "I just dropped by to tell you that I wouldn't be able to play with you." Again, Pee-wee looks sad. "Well, thanks, anyway," he says. "You're quite welcome," the Cowntess. They say good-bye to each other
[edit] Favorite Holidays
The puppets console Pee-Wee, saying that of course people need to work, because it's not a holiday. The puppets talk about their favorite holidays. Globey's favorite holiday is Martin Luther King's Birthday. Conky likes Valentine's Day.
[edit] A New Holiday
Nearly everyone likes different holidays, so Pee-Wee decides to make a new holiday: Playhouse Day. It would include every holiday that everyone likes.
Everyone begins decorating the playhouse with Playhouse Day Hearts, a Playhouse Day Tree, etc. The King of Cartoons arrives to proclaim the day an official holiday -- and to run the cartoon.
[edit] Playhouse Day Watermelon
When the cartoon ends, we find Pee-Wee singing to himself and carving out the official Playhouse Day Watermelon -- which he has carved, Jack-o-Lantern style. He eats some of the melon and proclaims it to be "mmm... watery! mmm.... melony!"
[edit] It's Party Time
Party time! Miss Yvonne, Cowboy Curtis, and Cowntess have come over after all. Everybody dances!
[edit] Sea Monster Egg Hunt
Pee-Wee: "It's just like an Easter Egg Hunt -- only you look for Sea Monster Eggs!" Cowboy Curtis: "Gee, Pee-Wee, these Sea-Monster Eggs look a lot like potatoes."
[edit] Playhouse Day Parade
Pee-Wee and friends attend a parade and march to Louie Louie, with the help of Magic Screen.
