Primula Susan Rollo

Primula Susan Rollo (1918, England-1946) was the first wife of David Niven. They married in 1940, and had two sons, David Jr. and Jamie.
She died at the age of 28 due to injuries sustained in an accidental fall at the home of Tyrone Power. While playing hide and seek, Primula walked through a door believing it to lead to a closet. Instead, it led to a stone staircase into the basement and Primula fell down the stairs in the dark, and died the next morning due to brain injuries sustained from the fall. Despite David Niven's fundamentally optimistic and positive disposition, he never fully recovered from this early loss, and spoke on his deathbed of how different his life would have been had Primmie lived.
She is buried in the churchyard in the hamlet of Huish, Wiltshire, the church where she married Niven.
