Princess Elisabeth of Anhalt

Princess Elisabeth of Anhalt (7 September 1857-20 July 1933) was the third child of Friedrich I, Duke of Anhalt and Princess Antoinette of Saxe-Altenburg.
On the 17 April 1877 Elisabeth married the then Hereditary Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Adolf Friedrich in Dessau. They had four children:
- Duchess Marie of Mecklenburg (1878-1918), married first Count Georg Jamatel (1859-1944), married second Prince Julius Ernst of Lippe (1873-1952)
- Duchess Jutta (1880-1946) married Danilo, Crown Prince of Montenegro
- Adolf Friedrich VI (1882-1918)
- Duke Karl Borwin of Mecklenburg (1888-1908)
Following the death of her father-in-law on the 30 May 1904, she became the Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
