Prokofy Neva (Catherine Fitzgerald) is a prominent Second Life resident, who owns Ravenglass Rentals; a land rental business offering rental land, houses and apartments for both newbie and long term residents.[citation needed] Fitzgerald's avatar is a blond male.[citation needed] Fitzgerald was banned from all areas of the official Second Life forums except Classifieds in June 2005,[citation needed] and banned from the official Second Life blog in November 2006.[citation needed] Fitzgerald has also been banned from almost every other Second Life related forum or blog save the Second Life Herald.[citation needed]
Fitzgerald has her own blog, Second Thoughts, which details her provocative, controversial opinions on Second Life and occurrences in her "virtual life" there. In January 2007 it was reported that Fitzgerald "threatened to injure against another resident in reality for merely expressing an opinion".[citation needed]This event happened on the secondcitizen.com web forum. The person accused was Joshua Nightshade, who in reality lives in a brownstone two blocks from in Manhattan in New York City.
