Purvis Short (born July 2, 1957, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi) is a former professional basketball player, who starred with the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association during the 1980s. A 6'7" small forward, Short averaged 17.3 points per game over his twelve-season career.
