Thanks for your kind remarks. I have often thought about the synopsis; it is too long and too detailed (more like Cliff's notes than a reference). As for incidences of any unencyclopedic tone you might detect, please do elaborate (specifically, if that is ok - I want to get them right.) TKS - black thorn of brethil 11:01, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi QmunkE! I reverted vandalism to an article Steam (band) that you also reverted today and cleaned up pretty nicely! Keep up the good work! - CalamityJane

Dear QmunkE. You (and RomeoVoid) have both revised/edited a version of the Steam (band) article that is being supported by the editors who supported the article Greg Bravo (Gary Scott). This article indicated that Bravo was the lead singer of "Na Na Hey Hey"; this is a hoax and the supporter(s) (probably only one person who was subsequently blocked for vandalism and personal attacks). The lead singer of the original recordings was Gary DeCarlo (AKA Garrett Scott). The Bravo article was listed for deletion and was deleted yesterday. The related Steam article had been revised to clarify who the lead singer was. It has been reverted several times to a version which is completely unclear on who the lead singer is. It also does not have the references (except for another Billboard book that does not name the lead singer.) My version of the article listed a NY Daily News article from last year as well as a Billboard Book of No. 1 Hits. I believe that anonymous user, Calamity Jane, is yet another attempt to resuscitate the Bravo claim. I have reported this issue to Administration [incidents] because of the situation as well as threats made anonymously related to the article. I am going to revert the article back to an article that clearly states the lead singer of "Na Na Hey Hey". My reasons for wanting this clarified are two-fold: (1) there is this person Bravo who is falsely claiming the song on his own websites and, prior to the deletion, on Wikipedia, and (2) "Na Na Hey Hey" is the only reason "Steam" is notable in terms of an encyclopedia entry and it is important that the musicians be mentioned. Thank you.--Fortheloveofhampsters 22:50, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sorry 'bout that...

I dunno, I knew that the UK used the Imperial System before, but I thought the UK reverted to the Metric System. About the toilets: I guess I was talking about the toilets in the Balkans, and the northern part of Italy (specifically Verona. Oh, and two questions about England, or the whole UK, I guess:

  • How's it like driving on the left side of the road? Well, okay, this is a stupid question, since you're probably used to driving on the left side like we're used to driving on the right side, but, I'd just like to know.
  • Now about the Chunnel: do you know how you transition from the left side of the road to the right side (or vice versa) when going from the UK to France (or also vice versa)? The Runescape Junkie 22:28, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and of course I count the English as Europeans... Also, I'm probably going to visit London in a year or two, so I'll know these questions, since we're probably going to see the Chunnel. Cheers! The Runescape Junkie 22:30, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and thanks for fixing the vandalism. Sorry, I'm a bit slow today, well, tomorrow in the UK. Cheers! The Runescape Junkie 22:36, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Well, I saw you called what I called the "Chunnel" the "Eurotunnel". So do you call it the former or the latter? I have this excellent road atlas of Europe that labels it the "Eurotunnel", while I read a 1994 National Geographic article about the Channel Tunnel, which said that people nickname it the "Chunnel". I'm baffled. Also, do you see left-hand drive vehicles (with the steering wheels on the left) often in England? Now, I can't drive, since I'm not 16 (the driving age in the US), but I'd just like to know. Sorry I ask too many questions, my mum says I've been like this since I was four. Cheers! The Runescape Junkie 21:59, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! I hope you do well at the University of Southampton! Cheers! The Runescape Junkie 17:34, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh, a few more questions. Sorry, I know you're busy with the University and all. First: what are lorries (I think that's a piece of British English...lol)? And second: I thought that the UK reverted to the Metric System. Is this true? The Runescape Junkie 17:52, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re:Reversion to Phyrexia

Hi, you reverted an anon edit to Phyrexia - I have undone this reversion as the sentences which were altered by the edits made no sense as they were written and were grammatically incorrect. I can't see why you reverted them, except possibly the use of the word "loser", which is appropriate for the context. Thanks. QmunkE 06:35, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

I didn't fully read the entire entry he placed into the article. And yes, the reason I reverted was the insertion of the word, "loser", which at the time, was the only thing that caught my attention. The word "loser" caught my attention because, quickly scanning through the sentence, it appeared he was calling someone/something a "loser", the more derogatory meaning, which I didn't think was appropriate. Looking back at the edit now, I see his revision was fine. Regards, — Moe Epsilon 16:05 August 20 '06

[edit] Question About a "Long Ago" Subject

Remember that those teerrorists in London who were planning to use explosives in gels and liquids to blow up planes (or something like that). Also, it was banned to carry-on gels and liquids on planes. It was all over the news, if I remember correctly... Anyways, did it impact life in Southhampton (or all of England, for that matter), or did it not impact anything at all? Just wondering, (and take your time to answer, I understand you're busy) cheers! •The RSJ(Main Hub - Rants) 19:56, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 2008-09 in English football

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from 2008-09 in English football, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, it is best not to propose deletion of articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still feel the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! [edit] More Questions about UK

Hey, hope the University is doing you well. Anyways, I might be going to London this summer, because I'm going to see family in Frankfurt. I know you don't live in London, but I think you might know these questions:

  • How do you go through the Eurotunnel? Is it like a normal tunnel, and you just drive through it, or is it something different? Also, I heard passing through the tunnel is €230 or something close to that.
  • How is it to drive in England with a left-hand-drive car? Just curious, because we're likely to be coming with a train to London.

Sorry for asking you questions as if you were a travel agency, I'm likely not going to London, but there's a chance. Thanks for asking these mundane questions - The RSJ 03:30, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Beit Hanoun November 2006 incident protection

Since no edits have been made to the discussions for at least two days, would you be in favour of lowering the protection on the article, either to unprotected, or semi-protected and just block edit-warring parties in future? I ask only because I'm not in favour of having pages fully protected for any significant amount of time - it's more harmful in the long run in my opinion - the edit warring is unfortunate, but full protection is completely restrictive and doesn't seem to have helped the situation move forward. As the protecting admin I thought I'd come to you before I went to Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Thanks. QmunkE 15:24, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps after a couple more days I'll unprotected. The last time the article was unprotected, editors quickly began edit-warring again. -- tariqabjotu 13:16, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

This very user has continued his actions of vandalism by moving non-article entries of the filing of a sockpuppet case into the article namespace. Something needs to be done about his continued out of line actions. - ZakuSage 20:12, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Could you please help me to file a report on his vandalism of his actions in moving his sockpuppet report page? I'm tired of this users consistent lies and harassment against me - ZakuSage 20:49, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

ZakuSage is just lying again, he created a bunch of redirects that confused me, and when I caught it I even fixed my own mistake on the matter as well as apologizing on the report page for my confusion.

I'm tired of his lies and harassment campaign against me. RunedChozo 21:07, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

No such thing happened. Please help me deal with this user, he's now stalking the pages I'm editing to try and maintain his ridiculous lies. - ZakuSage 21:08, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
