Qurtuba University of Science and Information Technology[1] is a private sector university having campuses in D I Khan and Peshawar. The University charter was passed by Governor N W F P on 30th August 2001, It is also recognized by the Higher Education Commission.[2]

The university is named after the city of Cordoba, known as “Madinat-ul-Ilm” in Muslim Spain, which remained the cradle of knowledge and research for centuries. --M A K 03:59, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
