I don't think we can prove Rachel's last name was Berenson. Can anyone do so-otherwise, I'll edit that back out.--Lkjhgfdsa 12:36, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Sure can. It's stated in #21: The Threat that Rachel and Jake are related through Rachel's father Dan, and then mentioned in #31: The Conspiracy that they're related through Jake's father Steve, thus making Dan and Steve brothers and Rachel's last name Berenson. --Matt 20:14, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Not specifically, we can't. Although Rachel and Jake are related to their fathers, remember that Rachel's parents are divorced and Rachel, Jordan and Sara live with their mother, so it's possible, although slightly, that Rachel has taken her mother's maiden name, if their mother changed her name after the divorce. --Dreamweaver 13.19, 31 July 2006

She doesn't know that Jake's come clean about their surname, does she? Cassie and Marco don't tell either. Jake's the only one who decided to. That doesn't mean her surname isn't explicit. Oh, and you also forget the possibility that Rachel has a hypenated surname - (Naomi's maiden name)-Berenson - or that Dan and Naomi decided to make a new last name by reforming the letters. Where does it say that she's a jew?

She says her father is Jewish in "Animorphs Megamorphs #03: Elfangor's Secret", page 171. There may be a couple of other mentions. Mad Jack 04:14, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
