RAF Gosfield

RAF Gosfield is a former World War II airfield in England.
The airfield was opened in 1943 and during World War II it was used by the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Force Ninth Air Force.
It was used by the USAAF 365th Fighter Group 397th Bomb Group 410th Bomb Group (light) 97th Bomb Wing
It was used by the following RAF units: No 38 Group No 271 Squadron No 299 Squadron No 512 Squadron No 575 Squadron
It was closed in 1945 and returned to agriculture..
