Talk:Raymond Franz/Comments
Historical facts positive as well as negative are part of our lives; we must not close our eyes to either.
Ray's page is stated as he experienced them and the account clearly is stated as things happened. What Ray said about 1914 etc, about the stance taken by the GB and the people involved, all seem to be according to what happened.
However much some doctrinal points may be in need of change (1914, blood, etc), is that really what our worship to God is all about?
If our basic doctrines about God being one, Christ being his son, the condition of the dead, are correct then we know the rest will be corrected by Christ eventually! Christ is doing a refining work among the Born Again, the Anointed. Clearly among those Anointed that live 'in security' at the headquarters and branches--this refining work is occurring in this fashion all the time!
So the important thing really is: Who is accomplishing the worldwide preaching work?
This preaching work, Paul told us to do unconditionally, paraphrasing: whether in favorable or unfavorable time, do your utmost to accomplish your ministry. Thus the proper thing for Ray Franz to have done would be to have his say in writing or verbally so that the GB would have a record of this. Once said it becomes their responsibility in front of God! For Ray Franz to leave the organization and stop associating, stop preaching, this is where he made a serious mistake. If he was disfellowshipped, he should have done all he could to get back in again. It seems that personal importance in regard to 'these doctrines must change or else-' was what mattered--rather than waiting on God and Christ to correct matters while he accomplished his ministry.
Instead, this public exposure of JW's dirty laundry because of personal pride (isn't that what it amounted to) has forced God to become Ray Franz's maid servant. God does not appreciate being our maid servant!!! I am not saying that others didn't sin. But there is no partiality with God, (Colossians 3:24-25) "Certainly the one that is doing wrong will receive back what he wrongly did, and there is no partiality."
Isaiah 43:24 . . .In reality you have compelled me to serve because of your sins; you have made me weary with your errors.
Did or is Ray Franz presently taking part in this witness work that as an anointed God gave him? I don't know. But from what is said, probably not. That would mean that Ray Franz has most likely lost his crown to somebody else, wouldn't it. And that is just sad. What did Paul say? Pursue peace, joy, and righteousness! Not, bickering and contentiousness.
