RC-1162, also known as Scorch is one of the main fictional characters in the video game Star Wars: Republic Commando. He is a Clone commando, bred for his demolitions skills for the elite SAS-like Delta Squad. He seems to have developed a jocular sense of humor, a fact he speculates on in idle moments of Delta's missions and often providing most of the more amusing anecdotes.
[edit] Character biography
Scorch appears be renowned for his mistakes. He received his nickname by burning off his eyebrows, hence the name "Scorch." This seems to be confirmed in a report by Walon Vau, a Mandalorian training officer in reference to his use of weaponry and demolitions, as well as by Delta Leader RC-1138 reminding him to "Just get us inside without killing the squad, eh, Scorch?"
He and "Sev," RC-1207, seem to have developed a bond as strong and deep as family, joking before and during missions with each other. When the order comes down from General Yoda himself to abandon Sev to overwhelming enemy forces and retreat to a Republic Gunship, he becomes borderline mutinous. This is likely an effect of their specialized commando conditioning, as the game's prologue describes the squad as separate parts of one person, while other more rank and file clones are not conditioned with such personalities or capability to disobey orders.
[edit] Action Figures/Toys/Miniatures
Scorch gets his first action figure in the new "The Saga Collection : Battle of Geonosis" Line. In early 2007 a 7 figure pack is going to be released which contains the Scorch figure along with his fellow team members and 3 Geonosians. In the upcoming Star Wars Miniatures game from WOTC, he will also be featured in the "Champions of The Force" set alongside with his comrades.
