Real Lives

Real Lives is a life simulation game for Microsoft Windows by Educational Simulations.

In Real Lives, the player is randomly given a life. They could be born in any place in the world, perhaps the United States of America, or more likely India or China, and lead very different lives.
For example, a player's life could begin like this:
- "You were born today in the city of Kaesong in North Korea. Your parents have named you Kyo-Moon. Pak Kyo-Moon..."
or:
- "You were born today in a village in Tanzania's Coast Region, not far from the city of Dar es Salaam. Your parents have named you Afsoon. Afsoon Ongeri..."
The player can make choices about their life in areas such as romance:
- "You've met a new girl, named Kim Eun-Seong, whom you are very taken with. Would you like to get involved romantically?"
or of their career:
- "You are offered to become a numerical clerk. Do you accept?"
There could be joy:
- "Congratulations! You gave birth to a baby boy!"
or tragedy:
- "Your brother Behrouz died at the age of 44 due to a stroke."
Their life could end like this:
- "You have died at the age of 79 due to prostate cancer."
or:
- "You have been executed by the North Korean government."
