Rectifi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rectifi is an online search engine which allows you to search the internet. Unlike any other search engine, any profits it earns goes to charity - all the user needs to do is click the sponsored links.
Rectifi was set up by Jonny Platt as a successor to 'GiveAsYouGet'. who recently appeared on the BBC's "Click Online" programme to help publicise the site. Not only does rectifi raise money when you search the web, but also when you search eBay, or use its comparison shopping feature to find information and items.
The charities that benefit are picked on a quarterly basis, and have included Voluntary Service Overseas, World Development Movement and Greenpeace. The benefiting charity for the period 1st July - 30th September 2005 was Tourism Concern[1]. Rectifi also provides information on how to reduce pollution and make a difference to poverty in the developing world at home.
