Richard Lloyd (born 25 October 1951, New York City) is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter, probably best-known as a member of the punk rock band Television.
In addition to a more recent solo career, as a guitarist and session musician he has since worked with various luminaries in the music business, including Matthew Sweet, John Doe (of the band X), and Stephan Eicher. He also is known to teach other aspiring guitarists in his studio in New York City.
Aside from touring with Television, his other current projects include a reformation of Rocket From The Tombs. He has one son, Dylan Lloyd, whom he affectionately refers to at all times as "Lil' Dyl" or "The Dillyfish."
