Roachmill
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Roachmill was a comic created by Rich Hedden and Tom McWeeney, published first by Blackthorne Publishing (for six issues) and then Dark Horse comics. The comic was set 30th century New York City where an influx of aliens to Earth had caused social problems. In response, the Extermination Act was brought in to allow vigilantes. Roachmill – a tall Dirty Harry-era Clint Eastwood look-a-like with two extra cockroach arms extending from his abdomen – was one such exterminator, willing – for a price – to kill anyone or anything. The stories veered wildly between comedy, satire and serious sci-fi and the art between cartoony and realistic, sometimes in the same issue. It was eventually cancelled after ten issues from Dark Horse, allegedly due to legal action from Playboy Enterprises.
