- Why was my edit of the trivia section reverted? I took out the part about him standing in for Dio and Ozzy in Sabbath because it's already mentioned in the body of the article. It's not that significant that it needs to be mentioned twice. BrianFG 12:41, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

- I've removed the section from trivia about Halford in Sabbath and moved it into the "career" section. Please don't revert it again, as it doesn't need to be there twice! Also removed the "trivia" about him being gay, as this is also mentioned elsewhere. BrianFG 23:59, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Removed (he is a homeosexual) from the end of the trivia about Halford liking bands that look weird because it wasn't necessary there and it doesn't fit.

Get a new fucking picture, seriously. It's not that hard.
- Took out the passage about the "queer leather culture" - Rob unequivocally took the leather stuff from bikers, as was evident ever since the first time he did it in '78 on the "Stained Class" tour, as well as the introduction of the Harley in '79. The connection was only made when he openly spoke about it - according to many it was just a press/PR stunt. There are many groupies who claim to have had sex with him, and most of their sexual songs cannot be taken but heterosexually.
- That doesn't make much sense though. He claims he first realized he was homosexual when he was in his teens and his relatives confirm that. I don't see why he couldn't choose expressing his sexual nature in his onstage appearance. // Gargaj 13:50, 2005 July 10 (UTC)
- I didn't say he isn't gay. My point was just that his leather attire doesn't come from bathhouses but from bikers. He has lots of pictures with barely-dressed models/groupies. I very much doubt he's a real homosexual, more probably gay/bisexual. I know the rumors about Phil Anselmo, that was even before he officially spoke about it, but when in '88 he said that "Love Zone" is about sex in the back seat of a Porsche... I don't really picture it between two men... Say Rob and Billy Gibbons.

- Posing with women and writing about sex from a heterosexual viewpoint doesn't mean Halford isn't gay. George Michael did the same thing, and he is relentlessly homosexual. I'm not sure that Halford wasn't necessarily writing from a hetero VP all the time anyway. It's not that difficult to be ambiguous when writing song lyrics. The whole "Halford is gay" thing is way out of proportion anyway. No one cared when no one knew. It shouldn't be an issue now that everyone does. BrianFG 03:30, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

- You're right only about the Porsche part. The leather definitely doesn't come from Greenwich village, but from bikers. The last time I checked, the Hells Angels didn't wear leather thongs and dildos, but gear that looks very mush like the early priest leather outfits. :-) Www.jpfo.org
i've read in an interview were rob has also admitted being a sadist and a masochist. he's also said that he HAS had sex with women.

The talk on this page could be forgiven for seeming like such was implied. And indeed, I suppose, it could be. But it seems so far afield of the norm that I cannot help but to ponder.

- Heh heh, I agree, some people like to pretend there is an obvious difference between "butch gay" and straight biker.. Rob Halford is one of the greatest hard rock/metal singers ever. This page doesn't do justice to the "Metal God." Someone please do some research. I will try to as soon as I get time. Thanks
I agree. Take for example Bruce Dickinson's page.
