From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
My name is Billy, and I'm addicted to Wikipedia. I've been hooked since September of 2005, and I just decided to join the editing community. I live in rural Connecticut, a boring (but beautiful) corner of the USA, and since there's not much to do around here I spend a lot of my time surfing the internet.
Because I live in a secluded area, all of my life I have yearned to travel. I have only been on two plane trips in my entire life (one was to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and the other was to Disney World in Florida), but I wish that I could travel so much more. Consequently, my favorite subject to browse on Wikipedia is anything having to do with places or geography in general; it's my little form of escapism.
I also love learning languages. I am a fluent speaker of English and I am currently studying Spanish and Japanese in school. I hope to improve my ability in both of those languages enough to start translating foreign-language Wikipedia articles to English, but I don't think that will happen anytime soon. I would love to learn Arabic, Russian and Chinese at some point in the future.
[edit] Baseball Caps
Ever since I was a little squirt, I have felt a strong attraction to baseball caps. To me they are the epitome of sports apparel: they show the wearer's support of a team, they are fashionable and they block the sun from your eyes! So, I made a promise to myself that I would visit every major league ballpark and buy the home team's hat (it must be the official, fitted New Era cap!). Yeah, it's a stupid collector's quest, but I think it's fun. Because this page offers me a good space to keep records of my collection, here it is:
