Rogelio Ramírez de la O

Rogelio Ramírez de la O is a Mexican economist. Since 11 October 2005 he is the chief economic advisor to Andrés Manuel López Obrador, a leading Mexican presidential candidate representing the leftist Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD).
Ramírez de la O received a bachelor's degree in economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a doctorate's degree in the same discipline from Cambridge University, United Kingdom. He is the current president of Ecanal S.A., a private firm specialized in economic analysis and forecasts and also serves in the board of Grupo Modelo, the largest Mexican brewery.
