Rose Pipette (also known as Rosay or Rosé; born Rose Dougall on March 13, 1986) is a singer and keyboard player with the band The Pipettes. She normally stands stage right, having been centre stage when Julia was in the band.
Rose, the brunette of the band's three frontwomen, takes lead vocals on the singles "Judy" and "Dirty Mind" and album tracks "Sex", "I Love You" and "Why Did You Stay?", all but the last of which she is believed to have at least co-written[original research?]. She provided guest vocals on "Life Is Great" by the band The Young Playthings and sung "Sleep" and "Fallen In Love" with now split Brighton-based band Dr Colossus, for whom her brother Tom was a guitarist.
She attended Camberwell College of Arts as late as mid-2006, and as a student appeared uncredited on the BBC2 show James May's Top Toys in December 2005, drawing the presenter on an Etch-A-Sketch. [1]
Rose is known to be a fan of English folk music and has cited Sandy Denny and Anne Briggs as particular influences[citation needed].
