Rs Feva
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The RS Feva is a one- or two-man (depending on rig) racing dinghy which has use of optional jib and/or gennaker. It has a single design with a sail size of 5.5m2 for a reefing sail or 6.5m2 for a three-battened sail.
The RS Feva is slightly faster and cheaper, but significantly more unstable than its closest competitor, the Mirror Dinghy. Debate still rages over which is the more suitable boat for young people to race in, while the Mirror provides stability and a stable learning and racing platform, Feva supporters argue that the Mirror design is too old, and needs to be replaced by a faster, more modern design.
