Sayellinae is one of eleven currently recognised subfamilies of the gastropod family Pyramidellidae; Odostomiinae, Turbonillinae, Chrysallidinae, Cingulininae, Cyclostremellinae, Sayellinae, Syrnolininae, Eulimellinae, Pyramidellinae, Odostomellinae and Tiberiinae. Sayellinae was introduced by Wise in 1996 and includes the genus Sayella.
