Scaleybark (LYNX station)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Scaleybark station is a light rail station on the LYNX light rail system in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Although this is named the Scaleybark station, it is actually located opposite Scaleybark Road across South Boulevard at its intersection with Old Pineville Road. It has side platforms, which sit on either side of the tracks. Additionally, this station will include a large commuter parking lot.
The station is located along a 70 foot median between Clanton Road and Scaleybark Road along South Boulevard. Additionally, a public art sculpture entitled Furrow created by Raleigh artist Thomas Sayre, will be installed at the ends of the median. Their shape will resemble that of a plow's disk harrows, with a single 30-foot disk near Clanton and three smaller ones at Scaleybark. [1]
