Scenecore

Scenecore can be used to describe a person fashion choice. Scenecore usually consist of teenagers whose musical preferences consist of punk and emo bands. The fashion can be associated as glam punk[1] because of the flamboyant clothing chosen. Teenagers commonly connect their choice of fashion with their choice of music. The music preferred of scenecore kids usually consist of the punk and emo[2] genre.

Scenecore Kids looks vary somewhat between males and females, only slightly. The guys dress in tight shirts as well as the girls. The guys also wear make-up (such as eye-liner, lipstick, nail polish, etc.) as well as the girls. The guys wear tight jeans. The girls wear tight jeans along with the choice of a dress (usually polka dot dresses). Polka dots are highly popular among the scenecore girls. The girls may have polka dots on backpacks, shoes, or bandanas. Hair styles for the guys are mainly emo fashion. The girls have short hair. Dying the hair is popular among both sexes.

Scenecore is commonly associated with emo as being the same. Fashion and choice of music between the two may be invariable, but they are different. Emo kids are troubled and don't socialize well[3]. Scenecore kids on the other hand are not, they just dress that way as a statement of being different while expressing their music, or they just love dressing the way they do (seeing it as unique amongst them). These subtle differences are often overlooked and branded as all the same.

Scenecore kids get flack left and right from many forms of cliques. Many brand their choice of fashion and music as meaningless and trivial. Metal heads are the usual controversers. They see their choice of music as a lesser form and dislike any scenecore kid. Scenecore teenagers hang in scenecore cliques as they are not accepted with the other cliques (jocks, goths, geeks, etc.)
